How long have you been a fan of Alabama? As early as 5 years old! My parents have childhood videos of me performing Alabama cheers when I was a small child.
What is your favorite tradition around your team? The entire stadium singing, "Dixieland Delight" going into the 4th quarter every game
What is your favorite tailgate dish? Hot wings
Why should you be the #1 fan? Ever since I can remember my parents would take me to Alabama football games (My dad graduated from there). I could tell you almost every player's name every year. Even the years our team was terrible, I still cheered for them like my life depended on it. My lifelong dream was to graduate from Alabama. However, I had the HOPE Scholarship so my parents made me to go school in Georgia since it was free (I don't blame them). To this day, I regret not being able to go. Since I didn't have the opportunity to actually attend the University of Alabama, maybe I can at least be voted their #1 fan!! Roll Tide!
Why is it important to you to support Anne Elizabeth Shepherd Home? I've worked in the field of mental health for almost 15 years. I can see the awful effects trauma and abuse can have on people, particularly children. However, I've also seen how mental health services, therapy, love, and support can change a life and lead to long term and successful recovery. Many times in the mental healthcare sector, the needs and amount of people needing services outweigh the available funding and resources. Therefore, every dollar donated to the AES Home truly gives these girls a true chance of going on to live happy lives.
This is an all-school football kickoff party to benefit the Anne Elizabeth Shepherd Home in Columbus. This event features tailgate fare, beer and wine, tailgate jams by DJ Cash Flow, mascots, cheerleaders, drumlines, a silent auction, and more! At the event, our #1 fan will be announced. The #1 fan represents their school and is the top fundraiser for the Anne Elizabeth Shepherd Home. This high-energy event is located at the Cunningham Center on the campus of Columbus State University. Come and be a part of this fun event and show off your school colors!
