How long have you been a fan of Georgia? My entire life—attended my first UGA game in the womb (27+ years).
What is your favorite tradition around your team?
Without question, hearing the Lone Trumpeter play “Battle Hymn of the Bulldog Nation.” The moment culminates with the Larry Munson’s raspy and iconic, “Glory, glory to ole Georgia!” There’s something about that moment before kickoff that makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck and sends chills down my spine every time. The moment captures everything that makes Georgia football special—tradition, pride, and anticipation.
What is your favorite tailgate dish?
My mom’s Rotel cheese dip. It’s a game day staple in our family and just isn’t a Georgia tailgate without it.
Why should you be the #1 fan?
I bleed red and black. I’ve been a Georgia fan my entire life, and that connection only deepened as a student at UGA and UGA Law. From cheering on the dawgs on a Saturday in Athens to rooting from afar on a deployment in the Middle East, Georgia has always and always will been part of who I am.
Why is it important to you to support Anne Elizabeth Shepherd Home?
Growing up comes with enough challenges on its own. No child should also have to carry the burden of abuse or neglect. Supporting Anne Elizabeth Shepherd Home matters because every child deserves safety, stability, and the chance to heal. If we can help ease even a small part of that burden and give young girls the support they need to move forward, that’s something worth showing up for.
This is an all-school football kickoff party to benefit the Anne Elizabeth Shepherd Home in Columbus. This event features tailgate fare, beer and wine, tailgate jams by DJ Cash Flow, mascots, cheerleaders, drumlines, a silent auction, and more! At the event, our #1 fan will be announced. The #1 fan represents their school and is the top fundraiser for the Anne Elizabeth Shepherd Home. This high-energy event is located at the Cunningham Center on the campus of Columbus State University. Come and be a part of this fun event and show off your school colors!
