How long have you been a fan of Auburn?I have been a devoted Auburn fan since the day I was born in 1992.
What is your favorite Auburn tradition?Without question, my favorite Auburn tradition is the eagle flyover before each football game. It never fails to give me chills and perfectly captures the spirit and pride of Auburn University.
What is your favorite tailgate dish? My favorite tailgate dish is my mom's homemade sweet potato moon pies—they are truly unbeatable and a cherished family tradition.
Why should you be the #1 fan?My connection to Auburn runs deep and spans generations. My father played linebacker at Auburn University in the 1980s under Coach Pat Dye, and my mother was a majorette during that same era. Auburn has always been more than a school to my family—it has been a way of life.
I attended Auburn University from 2010 to 2014 and graduated from the College of Human Sciences with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies. From my very first Auburn football game in 1992 through my graduation in 2014, I missed only five home football games total—a testament to the central role Auburn has played in my life.
When it came time to apply for college, Auburn was the only university I applied to. There was simply no other option for me. My husband also attended Auburn University from 2005 to 2009, further strengthening Auburn's place in our family.
We now have two beautiful daughters, both of whom attended their first Iron Bowl this past fall—our youngest was just three weeks old at the time. Auburn traditions are already being passed down to the fourth generation of our family. Both our immediate and extended family truly bleed orange and blue, and many of my most cherished childhood memories are tied directly to Auburn University.
Why is it important to you to support Anne Elizabeth Shepherd Home?
I have been incredibly blessed in my life, and I strongly believe in giving back to the community—just as my father did for so many years. He instilled in me the importance of civic involvement and demonstrated how meaningful community support can truly change lives. Supporting Anne Elizabeth Shepherd Home allows me to carry on those values and contribute to something that makes a tangible difference in the lives of others.
