Jason Karr is a healthcare professional with a passion for serving the community, both as a dedicated ER Nurse and as the ER Manager at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. With a career spanning over 15 years, Jason is committed to the well-being of his patients and the smooth operation of the emergency department.
Since 2008, Jason has been at the front lines of emergency medicine, providing expert care, comfort, and reassurance to countless patients and families during their most vulnerable moments. In 2015, he took on the role of ER Manager at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center, where he has proven his leadership and organizational skills by ensuring the highest quality of patient care in an efficient healthcare environment.
Jason finds his greatest joy in his family. He has been happily married to his wife, Jessica, for 15 years. Their journey together has been marked by love, support, and the joys of raising their three wonderful children: Griffin, aged 12, Owen, aged 9, and Mary Eliza, aged 7.
Outside of the hospital, Jason enjoys fishing, boating, and all things beach-related. He is a member of First Baptist Church on the Square.
Jason is most proud of watching the growth and development of his children. He takes great pride in watching Griffin, Owen, and Mary Eliza develop into compassionate individuals who not only reflect his values but also exhibit a strong sense of empathy and kindness towards others.
My Why –
As an ER Nurse of 15 years, I have been a part of and witnessed some of the most unbelievably heinous situations, circumstances, and outcomes involving children, youth, and their families. I would like to share in giving back to our community, especially when it involves helping children who are among the most vulnerable of our population.
