I was born in West Africa, Liberia, and it was there that my passion for providing children with a safe and loving environment was born. When I was ten years old, my family moved to the United States in Columbus, Ohio. While earning my master's degree in children and Families Social Work, I met my husband near the end of my first year of graduate school. By graduation, we had married, and I had been commissioned as a second lieutenant Field Medical Officer in the United States Army, where I served for three years. My husband and I have 2-year-old twin boys together. My eldest is now 22 years old and has a child of his own.

I currently own a Behavioral Aide business and founded a nonprofit organization that serves youths in foster care. Raising money for Twin Cedars is important because of the population they serve. I see daily and experienced growing up how one caring and consistent adult in a child's life, especially the ones in the foster care and Kinship network, can make a big difference. By raising money for Twin Cedars, it will help to expand their programs and services, reach more people in need, and make a lasting difference in the community.
